ELECTRICAL TRADE UNION DISPUTE

The industrial action by the ETU over the past year has cost the state of NSW many hundreds of millions of dollars in lost productivity and prevented many new homes owners from taking possession of their largest investment- their home. In the fast-growing Hills Shire, this has impacted approximately 1,500 residents, new businesses, schools and Council infrastructure projects.

It has been an incredibly challenging period for many people and the Fair Work Commission’s decision to end the industrial action will bring much needed relief to NSW residents, councils attempting to complete road infrastructure projects, developers trying to connect new homes to electricity and rail project upgrades across NSW. Hopefully this is the end of the disgraceful industrial action by the Electrical Trades Union.
