LONG day care centres in The Hills will share in more than $550,000 in grants to deliver more preschool programs and improve education.

The grants program is part of an agreement between the NSW and Commonwealth Governments to increase participation in preschool programs for children.

Several kindergartens will receive more than $14,000 each, including Kindalin Early Childhood Learning Centre in Castle Hill ($14,850), Playdays in Kellyville North ($20,460) and Giggles Child Care Centre in Bella Vista ($16,170).

“This funding boost will enable centres across Castle Hill to purchase additional resources, develop a preschool program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and to broaden staff skills,” Castle Hill Liberal MP Ray Williams said. Other long day centres to benefit:

Kindalin Early Childhood Learning Centre (Kellyville): $19,800

Treasure Island on Acres Rd (Kellyville): $17,160

Crestwood Preschool Kindergarten: $6270
