As the weather becomes warmer, residents start planning trips up north for vacation; and the NSW Government is helping make that trip easier and faster for everyone in the Hills area.

Through major investment in NorthConnex, congestion will ease considerably along Pennant Hills Road heading north to Newcastle. These twin tunnels will eliminate 21 sets of traffic lights, take 5,000 trucks off the road, and will save approximately 15 minutes on your trip.

Once completed in 2019, you will experience ZERO traffic lights from Melbourne to Newcastle using the NorthConnex tunnel which links from the M1 Pacific Highway to the M2.
